"Vivir Mejor" section · June 2026
Our lab has been featured in the “Vivir Mejor” section of NostraCiència, the science outreach platform run by the Generalitat Valenciana and RUVID, in the article “Cuando el andamiaje de la célula se convierte en arma” (When the cell’s scaffolding becomes a weapon).
The piece explains how we study the way cancer cells move and invade surrounding tissue, and how we are searching for new ways to stop them. Read the full article.

- Mari Ángeles presented the lab's work on mechanobiology and metabolic regulation at the BACR workshop on Tumour Microenvironment and Ex Vivo Preclinical Cancer Models at the University of Nottingham, UK.
- Huge congratulations to Mohammed, who defended his PhD thesis at CIPF on 21st July!
- The lab said goodbye to Maria Pérez, Aurora Fanzi and Aida Rodríguez — we'll miss you all!

- Irene will do a research stay at King's College London, working with Prof. Melanie Bailey's lab!
- Mari will attend the EMBO workshop about the Structure and Function of the Cytoskeleton in Paris!

- Irene attended the EMBL course to learn state-of-the-art Computational Structural Biology, funded by the CIPF Research Stays & Training Activities Intramural Call 2025 Grant (AMPER-GVA).

- Mari attended the 1st International Conference of AccenT Researchers (ICARGenT2025). Many CIDEGENT researchers gathered in Castelló on 22–23 December.
